There are lots of things to consider when you transition into retirement from a university. It can be helpful to talk to someone who’s “been there, done that.”
How do you replace those intangible benefits that your university job provided – social contact, meaningful routine, intellectual stimulation and connection to the university?
The Endacott Society, (KU’s retiree organization) offers Voices of Experience, a panel of faculty and staff retired from KU for varying lengths of time. This group will hold several informal chat sessions during the year, and a more formal panel discussion, all open to anyone from the university who is considering retirement (and their spouse). Learn about retirement’s challenges and opportunities and ways of responding to issues that may face the retiree.
There are no Voices of Experience events scheduled for the remainder of the academic year.
