Orphee aux Enfers is Jacques Offenbach’s satirical retelling of the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, in which the unhappy couple are each having extramarital affairs, when Eurydice (Kathryn Lewek) is accidentally bitten by a poisonous snake and Orpheus (Joel Prieto) is not so sure he wants to rescue her from Hades.  (2019, 140 minutes, in French and German, with English subtitles.)
