Friday Feb 11 @ 1:30 PM Central Time
Life of Pi is about a young man who, enroute from India to Canada on board a ship with his family’s collection of zoo animals, manages to survive a disaster at sea. While cast away on a small lifeboat, he forms an unexpected relationship with another survivor, a fearsome Bengal tiger. The film adaptation is absolutely breathtaking, and the surprise ending has generated a lot of discussion. It was nominated for eleven Academy Awards and won four, including Best Director for Ang Lee. (2012, cc, 127 minutes.)
