Domestic Film: Alamo Bay
After marrying Candice Bergen in 1980, French director Louis Malle spent 15 years making films in America, among them Alamo Bay, about how a despondent Vietnam veteran in danger of losing his livelihood is pushed to the edge when he sees competitive Vietnamese immigrants moving into the fishing industry in his Texas bay town, featuring Ed Harris and Amy Madigan, with music by Ry Cooder.
