Foreign Film: La Piscine (The Swimming Pool)
In real life, Alain Delon and Romy Schneider were a couple for many years, but their relationship had broken up by the time they decided to make La Piscine (The Swimming Pool) together. In the film, the two are spending their summer holiday on the Cote d’Azur, when their simmering vacation is interrupted by the arrival of Maurice Ronet and Jane Birkin, and everything comes to a boil.
