Foreign Film:  Think Zapata was the hero of the Mexican Revolution?  Think again.  In Louis Malle‘s riotous western Viva Maria!Brigitte Bardot and Jeanne Moreau are travelling entertainers in Mexico circa 1910 who accidentally invent the striptease, and are therefore responsible for rousing and arousing the peasantry to take up arms against the evil landowners.  The film was banned by the Catholic Church for its satirical depiction of the Church, priesthood, and sex itself.  (In French and Spanish, with English subtitles, 2 hours.)
