“Grand Canyon” (Short Documentary) 1958 29min
This documentary by Walt Disney Productions presents scenes of the Grand Canyon set to Ferde Grofe’s “Grand Canyon Suite” but the order of some of the music has been rearranged. Directed by James Algar this documentary won an Oscar for this breath-taking special. Note: Other documentaries from the internet may be added and announced in the “Reminder” emails as they are identified. Most movies are shown on the Lower Level of the Lawrence Public Library. Reminders are mailed a couple of days before each scheduled showing. Please note the Location, Dates, Times and Rooms as they may change based on availability. We start promptly at the times indicated but we try to open doors earlier. Parking is free on the upper level of the parking garage and an elevator is available. Elsewhere parking is free but is limited to 2 hours and you may be ticketed unless you pay before you leave the garage. Members are encouraged to bring their family and/or friends because we have room to accommodate 20 to 25 people. You may also bring snacks and drinks, but coffee, tea and snacks are provided.
