Kevin Boatright traveled to Japan in October as a member of the official nine-person Lawrence
delegation visiting our sister city: Hiratsuka. In addition to spending four days there, he and his
wife, Deb, made a personal day trip to the historic city of Kyoto via the high-speed Shinkansen,
or “bullet train.” Kevin will show highlights of the week-long experience and share information
about our 35-year relationship with Hiratsuka, a city of 250,000 located on the coast south of
Tokyo.
