Val Stella, a Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, is a world-renowned authority on drug discovery, development and delivery. He holds 59 U.S.
patents and is the inventor or co-inventor of seven drugs that are currently on the market. Much of his work focuses on how to make a drug work more effectively. In these two consecutive sessions, he will help participants understand how their medications work and how they are administered and dosed. He will respond to such questions as “Why do I have to take some of my medications with food?” and “How might my medication dose need to be adjusted as I age?
