In October 2019, co-presenters Richard Kershenbaum and Jennifer Lattimore traveled to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, and eastern Germany. They visited: Sarajevo, the “Jerusalem of Europe” for its history of multi-culturalism, where tragedy struck during the 1992-95 Balkan War; Trebinje, Bosnia-Herzegovina, a beautiful and historic town in the Serb-dominated section of the country; Spectacular Kotor, Montenegro and surrounding towns on and near the Bay of Kotor, on the Adriatic Sea; Then, in former East Germany they visited both Leipzig, where J.S. Bach presided over the 18th Century music scene; and Dresden, former capital of the Kingdom of Saxony, that was rebuilt after devastating February 1945 bombings.
