Father’s Day Special:  The Father
Having just scared off his recent caregiver, an ailing octogenarian gradually succumbing to dementia, feels abandoned when his daughter tells him she’s moving to Paris.  Confused and upset, against the backdrop of a warped perspective, he starts to lose his grip on reality, unable to navigate the opaque landscape of present and past.  Winner of two Oscars in 2021, for Best Adapted Screenplay, and to Anthony Hopkins for Best Actor in a Leading Role.  (2020, cc, 97 minutes.)
