Domestic Film:  Directed by Charles VidorGilda features the sultry Rita Hayworth in her most iconic role, as the unruly wife of a criminal kingpin (George Macready), as well as the former lover of his trusted henchman (Glenn Ford).  Watch her drive them both mad with desire and jealousy, especially when she starts to strip while singing “Put the Blame on Mame.”  Set on a Buenos Aires casino’s glittering dance floor and in its shadowy back rooms, Gilda is among the most sensual of all Hollywood film noirs.  (1946, in English and Spanish with closed captioning, 110 minutes.)
